It has been a fun April, paint-wise, and I finally got back into some serious art time. ‘Bagheera’ has been on the easel this month and was painted over a print I had in my canvas box, but I wasn’t happy with its finish.
A green wash over the picture turned the multi-colour canvas into a great base for some jungle leaves. As the painting progressed, the panther’s eyes seemed a great way to add more depth to the image, and Bagheera was ‘born’.
It is definitely a green month, as most of the art coming off the easel this month seems to be in various tones of green/yellow.
Painting in single colours is a great place for me to start. I look forward to seeing what colour May brings.
