Mid-June I decided to redecorate a few rooms at home, myself… which included pulling down a dividing wall and opening up the room where I paint. Since this doubles as our dining room, I now have a larger kitchen/diner that is mid-restructure.

This large home-made canvas painting has been left on the wall for months now, just waiting for me to find some time, and space, to finish the work. One of the things I realised in the first part of 2025 is that I need a studio – somewhere I can go to paint and leave the housework, other businesses, and homelife for a while and not be disturbed. That may take a few more art sales to become a realistic option, but for now I am actually quite happy in my little paint space – I just wish there were more hours in the day sometimes, and that I didn’t have to finish the decorating first!

My next exhibition is at the end of July at Denbies, with First for Art. I hope to see you there. Enjoy the summer, when it arrives 🙂
