I don’t usually use a lot of mixed-media, but as soon as I could get my hands on some new products I began to experiment with different mediums.
Art clay is a great way to build depth and layer to a canvas, and I used quite a bit on Industrial Skies. Coupled with a lot of shiny acrylic paint, some real glass beads and lots of varnishes – and this 100cm wide canvas started to look like a sheet of moulded metal. Sadly the canvas got overworked and ended up in the Lost Art collection (and the bin).
As an artist, I am always trying to find something new. It is probably why I have yet to settle on a style to call my own.
