Occasionally I find myself finishing a painting, framing, and exhibiting it – and then seeing the improvements I think I can make. Sometimes a single aspect of a painting dictates the result, and other times it needs to be ignored and painted over.
With The Cove, the boat was the focus. The blue peeling boards caught my attention and I created the boat around them. But it never sat well on my wall and last month I made the decision to overpaint it.
This usually results in a lost picture or a trip to the tip! This time it worked for me and I love the new boat which can be viewed in my shop. The Cove
