Description
The boatshed sits behind the cottage, on the edge of the lake. It is accessed from the back and the boat can be launched straight out onto the water. The cottage is home to a close family, where the children can often be heard in the garden, playing on the rope swing by the ‘big old tree’.
This little canvas holds so many hours of delight. I started with a white and black texture to the background and built the foreground using just the same two colours. I have invested in some Golden Acrylics, which ooze quality as you paint. Working in just two colours, especially black and white, can be a challenge but it is one I thoroughly enjoyed.
