Reds, blues, purples, whites, creams – set on silver metallic paint. An abstract yet impression of sunny days, Spanish tapas, hanging out washing to dry, and having a coffee in the local cafe.
Painting España took me to a new place in terms of painting, with the use of metallic paints and a palette knife. I started with a blank canvas and selected a limited palette of colours to create an abstract art piece. However, the final result lent itself more to impressionism than abstract, with the tall buildings hovering over smaller shop fronts. The pavement cafes, and far-off hills. The washing strung along the rooftops, with pavement cafes and shops to explore.
